Park City or Deer Valley: Which Is Right For You?

Park City Resort is often considered the more family-friendly of the two, so if you’re traveling with little ones, this might be the better option.

Deer Valley Resort is one of only three ski-only resorts in the United States. That means that you won’t find any snowboarders flying downhill or Nordic ski centers on the grounds. So while Deer Valley features less ski-able terrain with just over 2,000 acres on six mountains, you won’t have to worry about sharing the slopes with other sports. Deer Valley is also a more high-end experience, perfect for younger couples traveling without little ones. That’s not to say that the resort isn’t kid-friendly. However, if you know your children would prefer a more fast-paced, exciting vacation, Park City is the right choice for you. If you do choose Deer Valley for your ski getaway, be sure to book a table at Fireside Dining. This gourmet restaurant offers elegant dishes prepared in their iconic stone fireplace. Also, don’t forget about the Deer Valley Ski School if you need to brush up on your technique. You can choose from private lessons to their adult group clinics.
