These Park City Winter Activities Are Snow Joke!

Skiing

You can’t mention winter sports in Park City without talking about skiing! Our quiet town happens to be one of the best ski destinations in the country. Park City is home to two outstanding resorts.

  • Deer Valley Resort is ideal for guests who just want to focus on skiing, as that is this resort’s focus. Snowboarding is not permitted, and there is no Nordic center on the grounds, making it one of only three ski-only resorts in the United States. It’s great for beginners who may not be comfortable with the sport just yet or serious sportsmen who don’t want to be distracted by snowboarders. There are a total of six mountains at this resort and over 2,000 acres of skiable terrain.
  • Park City Mountain Resort has something for everyone! There are about 7,300 acres of skiable area, with 348 trails in total. Their state-of-the-art snowmaking system and impeccably groomed trails mean that you’ll enjoy a smooth ride. The resort also has a terrain park, which offers three sections of varying difficulty. This is the perfect place to practice tricks or jumps. Unlike Deer Valley, Park City Mountain Resort allows snowboarders.

Snow Biking

In the summer, Park City’s ski trails change into the perfect mountain biking paths. Many residents of Park City love to spend the warm months pedaling up and down the slopes. That’s probably why snow biking is so popular around here. Instead of a traditional mountain bike, locals love to ride fat-tire bikes. Visitors can rent bikes from White Pine Touring. If you’re new to snow biking, we suggest that you book their guided tour.

Dog Sledding

If you want to experience something truly special, book a dog sledding tour from All Seasons Adventures! They offer two different experiences. The first is an hour-long ride, and the second is a split ride. Both are phenomenal ways to spend an afternoon. After your tour, you’ll be able to get some playtime with the hardworking dogs. Besides dog sledding packages, All Seasons Adventures also offers fat tire bike rentals, winter fly fishing excursions, and more!
