Your Guide to Park City Mountain Activities

1. Biking

With 450 miles of beautiful hiking trails winding through the mountains of Park City, it’s no surprise that mountain biking is one of the most popular summer activities here! Park City Mountain Resort is one of our favorite places to ride. You can purchase a bike haul pass or chairlift ticket and get an easy ride up the mountain to some of the most beautiful trails in town. Or, take a guided biking tour around the mountainside with Exclusive Excursions!

2. Hiking

If you prefer to traverse the mountainside on foot, then you’ll love these Park City hiking trails! Our area’s trails range in difficulty, so there’s a route for hikers of all skill levels – even children! Utah Olympic Park is home to our favorite family-friendly hike, the Utah Olympic Park Loop

3. Alpine Slide

Park City’s alpine slide is one of the most popular summer activities for locals and visitors alike! This structure resembles a luge track, stretching to almost 3,000 feet of smooth concrete. Each rider sits on a sled equipped with a handbrake. That means that you can control your speed, enjoying a thrilling pace or a slower, more relaxing ride.

4. Fly Fishing

Park City, Utah, is a great place for fly fishing. It’s home to two blueribbon fisheries: the Provo and Weber Rivers, so you’re sure to get a bite! You can take a guided fishing trip with Park City Fly Fishing Company or Park City on the Fly. You don’t need a fishing license for an excursion with Park City on the Fly, so it’s perfect for out-of-state visitors!

5. Horseback Riding

Summer and fall are great seasons for horseback riding at Boulder Mountain Ranch at Deer Valley Resort. This ranch offers rides for children as young as six years old, so it’s a great activity for the entire family!
